The connective tissue connects
The connective tissue connects. Connective tissue changes over time. Connective tissue ages. Connective tissue stretches and can contract. The connective tissue is affected by the stress hormones, dries out, and gets hard. A person, who is depressed, looks very different. It becomes bloated with extra liquid and becomes soft and floppy.
Scar tissue is connective tissue
Scar tissue is connective tissue containing more collagen fibres than elastrine fibres, which means that a callus of the tissue has been formed. There will be a limited oxidation and blood supply, which means that the body has difficulties in separating waste products leading to soreness and reduced mobility. The scar tissue also has difficulties in absorbing water, and if it is not treated, it can develop into a “dead” area on the body.
